Noyes Pond Fishing Report
Focus on the same north/west banks but add a chatterbait if wind is up.
Quick Read: Noyes Pond – May 19, 2026
The Call – Fish the north/west bank pockets with a swim jig and wacky rig during the major solunar window (3:19–5:49 PM). Water hit 56°F and is rising fast – pre-spawn fish are moving shallow, but the 2/5 solunar and steady pressure mean you’ll need contact baits, not reaction strikes.
Likely Targets – Largemouth bass staging on the first hard cover inside wind-protected coves: laydowns, scattered rock, dark-bottom pockets. 11-ft max depth means every bank has spawning potential.
Timing – Primary window today: 3:19–5:49 PM (major solunar). Secondary early window: 6:56–8:26 AM (minor solunar). Tomorrow morning (6:18–8:48 AM major) will be better if today’s afternoon wind builds.
Broad Presentation – Slow-medium speed, bottom-contact baits in natural colors (green pumpkin, watermelon). Swim jig 3/8oz + craw trailer for covering water; wacky rig Senko as the confidence bait once you locate fish.
Biggest Uncertainty – How far along the spawn actually is. 56°F is prime pre-spawn, but rapid warming could push fish onto beds within a day. Verify by checking shallow hard bottom in the warmest pockets (northwest corners).
Where to Start – The small cove on the northwest shoreline, west of the boat launch. Thermal imagery from May 11 likely showed that area warming first. Fish the laydowns and stump field on the left side.
Backup Lake – Lake Champlain (54°F, 81 mi). If Noyes is pressured or the bite stalls, Champlain offers more ledge/rock structure for smallmouth and deeper largemouth options. Condition match is close.
Multi-Day Planning – Tomorrow (May 20) expect 24 mph wind. Hit Noyes early (6:18 AM major) before wind peaks, then slide to Champlain’s protected bays if needed. May 21 solunar rating improves to 3/5 – better movement. Focus on the same north/west banks but add a chatterbait if wind is up.
